Dec. 8-14: “God the Preserver of Man”

“O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good:

. . . He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.” (Psalms 107:1, 29)

This Bible Lesson inspires with Old and New Testament stories of God’s love and protection for mankind, animals and all creation, demonstrating the ongoing, eternal Principle that is God, Spirit, forever guiding and preserving all that S/He has made.

“The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.” (Jeremiah 31:3)

“The divine Mind that made man maintains His own image and likeness.

“All that really exists is the divine Mind and its idea, and in this Mind the entire being is found harmonious and eternal. The straight and narrow way is to see and acknowledge this fact, yield to this power, and follow the leadings of truth.” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, p. 151:26)

The weekly Bible Lesson is read and studied daily by students of Christian Science the world over.
