“A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.” (Matthew 7:18)
With passages from the Old Testament and from teachings of our Master Teacher, Jesus Christ, this Bible Lesson shows us that God, Divine Spirit, is the only source of Life, Truth, Spirit, and that mankind and all creation reflect wholly the intelligence, usefulness, goodness and spiritual nature of God, Good.
“For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; (Luke 6:44, 45)
“When will the error of believing that there is life in matter, and that sin, sickness, and death are creations of God, be unmasked? When will it be understood that matter has neither intelligence, life, nor sensation, and that the opposite belief is the prolific source of all suffering?” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, p. 205:7-12)
