Dec. 5-11: “God the Preserver of Man.
Golden Text: “Plead my cause, O Lord, with them that strive with me: . . . Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the Lord chase them.” (Psalm 35: 1, 5)
This deeply thoughtful Bible Lesson doesn’t try to tell us that we will never have what seem to be challenges in our lives. What it does is to provide us with powerful, inspiring examples that demonstrate the spiritual truth that God, the all-power, Divine Principle, is always present to guide, love and protect mankind and all creation.
“And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid:” (Leviticus 26:6)
“The history of Christianity furnishes sublime proofs of the supporting influence and protecting power bestowed on man by his heavenly Father, omnipotent Mind, who gives man faith and understanding whereby to defend himself, not only from temptation, but from bodily suffering.” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, p. 387:27.)
