October 26-Nov. 1: “Everlasting Punishment.”
Golden Text: “Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.” (Matthew 5:7)
This Bible Lesson helps us see that God, Divine Love, always cares for us, and preserves us as His dear children; but that we also face every day the imperative, divine command to love, preserve, and forgive and care for our brothers and sisters.
“…why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For as it is written, as I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then everyone of us shall give account of himself to God.” (Romans 14: 10-12)
“The real man cannot depart from holiness, nor can God, by whom man is evolved, engender the capacity or freedom to sin. A mortal sinner is not God’s man. Mortals are the counterfeits of immortals.” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, p. 475:28-1)
About the Bible Lesson
The weekly Bible Lesson is read and studied daily by students of Christian Science around the world, and is read on Sundays in Christian Science churches everywhere.
Our Bellingham church has temporarily suspended Sunday services, Sunday School and Wednesday testimony meetings in order to honor Washington State’s Phase 2 Covid-19 guidance. However, the Bible Lesson continues to be read and studied, bringing the healing blessings of church to our members every day.
You can read or hear it too, at this link. You can also listen live and replay the Sunday church service and Wednesday testimony meeting held at The Mother Church of Christian Science, in Boston, MA. Click here to access those services.
