Sept. 29-Oct. 4: “Unreality.”
Golden Text:..”Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord:” (Isaiah 1:18)
This Bible Lesson shows us the importance of turning to God, Divine Mind, for our understanding of life and our own identity. It urges us to cast away the claims of material life, and instead to listen to what God, Spirit, is telling us about our purpose and identity.
“For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else.” (Isaiah 45:18)
“We must learn that evil is the awful deception and unreality of existence. Evil is not supreme; good is not helpless; nor are the so-called laws of matter primary, and the law of Spirit secondary. Without this lesson, we lose sight of the perfect Father, or the divine Principle of man.” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, p. 207:9.)
About the Bible Lesson
The weekly Bible Lesson is read and studied daily by students of Christian Science around the world, and is read on Sundays in Christian Science churches everywhere.
Our Bellingham church has temporarily suspended Sunday services, Sunday School and Wednesday testimony meetings in order to honor Washington State’s Phase 2 Covid-19 guidance. However, the Bible Lesson continues to be read and studied, bringing the healing blessings of church to our members every day.
You can read or hear it too, at this link. You can also listen live and replay the Sunday church service and Wednesday testimony meeting held at The Mother Church of Christian Science, in Boston, MA. Click here to access those services.
