The black dot

November 14, 2016

A story sent my way One day a professor entered the classroom and asked his students to prepare for a surprise test. They waited anxiously at their desks for the test to begin. The professor handed out the question paper, with the text facing down as usual. Once he handed them all out, he asked …

Help people get along

November 14, 2016

“You’re blessed when you can show people how to cooperate instead of compete or fight. That’s when you discover who you really are, and your place in God’s family.” ~ Jesus Christ, Matthew 5:9, The Message

The tares stand out and above the wheat

October 24, 2016

The tares stand out and above the wheat While walking through farm fields in France last May, I found a perfect scene to illustrate Jesus Christ’s parable of the tares and the wheat. If you aren’t familiar with Jesus’ story, here it is: Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven …

Silence the Accuser

October 27, 2015

Have you ever heard a condemnatory voice in the background of your thought, or maybe to your face, that constantly criticizes everything you do? For instance, an on-going rant to the effect of… I’m doing my job poorly. I look terrible. I walk funny. I weigh too much. I said the wrong thing. I’m not …

This Week’s Bible Lesson

Jan. 11-17: “Life.”

Golden Text:  “O sing unto the Lord a new song … Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name.” (Psalms 96:1, 8)

This Bible Lesson inspires and uplifts us, by helping us see that the God we worship is a living God, always active, always loving, guiding, protecting Her all her ideas.

“My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God; …the Lord will command his lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.”

“God is infinite, the only Life, substance, Spirit, or Soul, the only intelligence of the universe, including man.” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, p. 330:11-12)

About the Bible Lesson

The weekly Bible Lesson is read and studied daily by students of Christian Science around the world, and is read on Sundays in Christian Science churches everywhere.

Our Bellingham church has temporarily suspended Sunday services, Sunday School and Wednesday testimony meetings in order to respect Washington State’s Covid-19 guidance.  However, the Bible Lesson continues to be read and studied, bringing the healing blessings of church to our members every day.

You can read or hear it too, at this link, whenever you wish, every day.

You can also listen live and replay the Sunday church service and Wednesday testimony meeting held at The Mother Church of Christian Science, in Boston, MA.  Click here to access those services.
