Nov. 15-21: “Soul and Body.”
Golden Text: “. . . glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” (I Corinthians 6:20)
This Bible Lesson shows us that joy and healing in our lives comes from striving to see God, Soul, as the source of our identity, and our substance.
“God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; …For in him we live, and move, and have our being;” (Acts 17:24, 25, 28)
“Soul and Spirit being one, God and Soul are one, and this one never included in a limited mind or a limited body. Spirit is eternal, divine. Nothing but Spirit, Soul, can evolve Life, for Spirit is more than all else. Because Soul is immortal, it does not exist in mortality. Soul must be incorporeal to be Spirit, for Spirit is not finite.” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, p. 335:16-22.)
