Nov. 1-7: “Adam and Fallen Man.”
Golden Text: “… we are risen, and stand upright.” (Psalms 20:8)
This Bible Lesson gives us the tools we need to challenge every false, matter-based notion about who we are and how we were created. By understanding the spiritually inspired creation story in Genesis Chapter 1, we can see through the falsity of the Genesis Chapter 2 story of Adam and Eve — and to claim our God-given right to health, harmony and spiritual freedom.
“Praise ye the Lord. I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation. The works of the Lord are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein…. He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the Lord is gracious and full of compassion.” (Psalms 111: 1,2,4)
“The Scriptures are very sacred. Our aim must be to have them understood spiritually, for only by this understanding can truth be gained. The true theory of the universe, including man, is not in material history but in spiritual development.” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, p. 547:23-27)
