May 17-23: “Soul and Body.”
Golden Text: “The Lord is my strength and song, and is become my salvation. . . . God is the Lord, which hath shewed us light:” (Psalms 118: 14, 27)
This Bible Lesson takes us figuratively by the hand, and leads us to deeply thoughtful passages from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook* which help us see, understand and claim our identity as the spiritual manifestations of Soul, God.
“…Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths:” (Isaiah 2: 3)
“Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths:” (Isaiah 58:11)
“Christian Science explains all cause and effect as mental, not physical. It lifts the veil of mystery from Soul and body. It shows the scientific relation of man to God, disentangles the interlaced ambiguities of being, and sets free the imprisoned thought. In divine Science, the universe, including man, is spiritual, harmonious, and eternal.” (Science and Health, p. 114: 23-29)

About the Bible Lesson
The weekly Bible Lesson is read and studied daily by students of Christian Science around the world, and is read on Sundays in Christian Science churches everywhere.
Our Bellingham church has temporarily suspended Sunday services, Sunday School and Wednesday testimony meetings in order to respect Washington State’s Covid-19 guidance. However, the Bible Lesson continues to be read and studied, bringing the healing blessings of church to our members every day.
You can read or hear it too, at this link, whenever you wish, every day.
You can also listen live and replay the Sunday church service and Wednesday testimony meeting held at The Mother Church of Christian Science, in Boston, MA. Click here to access those services.
