April 20-26: “Probation After Death.”
Golden Text: “…I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” saith the Lord God. “Therefore turn and live!” (Ezekiel 18:32)
At a time when the news is reporting so many stories of sickness and death, this Bible Lesson comes with a fresh perspective, encouraging us to lift our thoughts to see all mankind as immortal.
“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalms 27:1)
“Death. An illusion, the lie of life in matter; the unreal and untrue; the opposite of Life.” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, p. 584: 9.)
“Man is more than a material form with a mind inside, which must escape from its environments in order to be immortal. Man reflect infinity, and this reflection is the true idea of God.” (S&H, p. 258:9)
About the Bible Lesson
The weekly Bible Lesson is read and studied daily by students of Christian Science around the world, and is read on Sundays in Christian Science churches everywhere.
While our Bellingham church has suspended Sunday services, Sunday School, and Wednesday testimony meetings in order to honor Governor Inslee’s “stay at home” order, the Bible Lesson brings the healing blessings of church to our members every day.
You can read or hear it too, at this link. You can also listen live and replay the Sunday church service and Wednesday testimony meeting held at The Mother Church of Christian Science, in Boston, MA. Click here to access those services.
