Nov. 4-10: “Adam and Fallen Man.”
Golden Text: “…we spend our years as a tale that is told … let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us:” (Psalms 90:9, 17)
The subject matter of this Bible Lesson is beautifully illustrated in contradictory visions contained in the Golden Text (above): which view of our lives and identity do we hold? One is the mortal view. But the other is spiritual Truth.
“This then is the message which we have head of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.” (I John 1:5)
“A mortal corporeal, or finite conception of God cannot embrace the glories of limitless, incorporeal Life and Love. Hence the unsatisfied human craving for something better, higher, holier, than is afforded by a material belief in a physical God and man.” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, p. 258: 1-6.)
